 Teamsters
to the Governor's
doorstep to

SAVE THE TURNPIKE

Back on June 19, 2008 the PA Conference of Teamsters flanked the Capitol to let the elected officials know we were strongly against the sale or lease of the Turnpike and that we would return to the Capitol in force if this issue arose again. Well, on April 29, 2008 over two hundred officers and agents from the affiliated Conference Locals, led by President Cardullo, converged on the State Capitol to, once again, let them know the Teamsters are against the sale or lease of the Turnpike and we mean business! 200 boisterous Teamsters marched right up to the Governor's office inside the Capitol. See additional photos from 4/29/08.

THE PA CONFERENCE  OF TEAMSTERS CONTINUES TO GROW

With a concerted effort between President Cardullo, Brother Ken Kertesz-Chairman PA State Legislative Board, BLET, the PA Conference and our legal advisor, four BLET Divisions have now affiliated with the Conference – Divisions 71, 74, 231 and 263 representing approximately 600 new members have joined our Conference. This process is on going and additional divisions are expected to affiliate in the near future. The Conference would like to especially thank Brother Ken Kertesz for his help and support in facilitating these affiliations.
